Tell us a bit about yourself (name, location, personal stuff).
My name is Rachel and I live in San Diego with my dog, Agent Cooper.

Are you a full-time artist/crafter?
I am an art director full-time, and a crafter all the rest of the time. :)

What percentage of your income is from "online" sales?
I'm just starting out, so the percentage is not impressive - YET!

Please share why "buying/selling handmade" is important to you...
Buying/selling handmade is important in abolishing the myth of the 'starving
artist.' The arts are terribly important, and there is such immense talent
hiding out there. That buying hand made is becoming popular is very
exciting, because it gives artists and crafters a chance to become
successful.

What do you utilize most for INSPIRATION?
In the famous words of Jack Black, "You cannot manufacture inspirado."
Inspiration comes randomly for the most part, but listening to music helps.
It's also incredibly inspiring to look at the work of other artists.

What do you love most about what you make?
I love bold shapes and contrasting colors and plain, bold graphics. I also
love to work with my hands and working with clay. For Ink Thief, the 'zine I
offer in my store, I love getting contributions from other writers.

Do you offer any services such as, wholesale, custom orders, swapping
or bartering?
I love the barter system!

What advice can you share with other artists/crafters?
Same advice for everyone: Do what you love.

Do you have studio tips on staying organized, and working efficiently?
Clean up after yourself every few days! I should take my own advice.

Where would like to be in 10 years?
In a house with a yard so my dog can run around, and in this house will be a
designated craft room.
